Innovation Hub

The Digital Training Unit (DTU) primarily prepares public officers in St Kitts-Nevis for 21st Century knowledge work by providing training in digital skills. The Unit coordinates workshops with staff from other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) aimed at documenting their business processes, and leveraging Microsoft365 to better deliver services. DTU makes meeting and training spaces at the National ICT Centre available to freelancers, private companies and government departments.  

By equipping public officers with digital skills, the Department of Technology is contributing to building St Kitts-Nevis’ public service into a workforce for the 21st Century. The THINK Digital Training Programme is aimed at all public offtRAicers and consists of multiple courses grouped across three tiers. Course content includes an introduction to computers, effectively using the applications on GovKN’s Microsoft365 platform, and transforming business processes within the public service. This training programme instils participants with the competence and confidence needed to perform knowledge work effectively.  

The Digital Training Unit supports the work of freelancers, private businesses, and other MDAs by providing five well-equipped spaces for meetings and training sessions. Each room is fitted with a large touch display and video conference equipment for collaborating and connecting.
