At 4: 00 a.m. local time on May 26th, 2025, the Federation switched to a unified e-Border platform offering two new digital border services:

  • Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) – required for travellers holding non-SKN passports.
  • Enhanced, biometric Immigration & Customs ED Form – required for SKN citizens, residents, and OECS nationals, including dual nationals.

1 Dual nationals or OECS citizens travelling on a non-SKN passport may file the Enhanced ED Form free of charge by uploading proof of their SKN/OECS status.

2 Fee waived for CARICOM nationals, accredited diplomats on duty, children < 2 yrs, active military/SAR personnel, and SKN dual-nationals who upload proof of SKN citizenship.

3. How to Apply

  1. Open Saint Kitts and Nevis e-Border mobile app (available May 26th, 2025) or visit knatravelform.kn.
  2. Scan the passport and selfie, upload the supporting documents, then pay the service charge, if applicable. Repeat these steps for every traveller in a group application.
  3. The app stores multiple traveller profiles for future trips.

4. Data-security requirements

  • Store passport scans and selfies only on encrypted, access-controlled government systems
  • Delete any temporary copies kept on unsecured devices once uploaded.
  • Mobile-app users: data remain encrypted in-app; no extra action needed. 5 Consultants & other invitees

5. Consultants and other Invitees

  • Request self-application: invitees apply, pay the service charge (see above), and claim reimbursement with travel expenses.
  • Apply on their behalf only for VIPs or urgent, last-minute travel, then delete biometric files if stored outside secure systems.
  • Advise early submission to avoid higher urgent-processing fees at the airport.

6. Non-digital fallback

Travellers without digital access may book an appointment at Immigration HQ, Stanford Building, Golden Rock      (Tel: +1 (869) 467-1502/1503/1504, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) for on-site submission assistance.

7. Complete expeditiously

  1. Brief all assistants on these procedures.
  2. Establish secure folders for biometric files (if necessary).
  3. Update invitation letters to consultants with the reimbursement guidance.
  4. Update travel budgets to include the eTA service charge—US $8.50 per visitor from May 26th 2025, rising to US $17 from September 2nd , 2025.
